"They won't like it when I tell them in Mordor." ― Snaga on not taking the captives to Mordor

Snaga was an Orc scout in service to the Dark Lord Sauron.

The Lord of the Rings

Mordor-Isengard disagreement

Snaga was a scout for the horde of Orcs from Moria under the command of Grishnákh who had slew Boromir to avenge their chieftain and captured Merry and Pippin.

When Grishnákh demanded that the company take the the captives back to Mordor, he supported him and warned Uglúk that Sauron would not be pleased if the Hobbits are taken by his chief servant, Saruman, as it would seem traitorous of him to claim the One Ring.

Trivia

  • Snaga is a scout under Uglúk in the novels not Grishnákh.
  • In Ralph Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings, he is not identified as Snaga yet it is the same character.
